Pinedale Christian Church is a 100+ year old non-denominational congregation with approximately 1200 weekly attenders and is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Business Manager who will work collaboratively with the Finance Committee to oversee and manage the church’s business and financial operations. This leadership role is essential to ensuring financial health, operational efficiency, and stewardship of church resources in alignment with our mission and values.
This position also works closely with the Senior Minister as well as other Ministry leaders.
Financial Management & Accounting
- This position’s primary responsibility is to oversee all accounting systems and processes, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, while working closely with our third-party Book Keeping vendor and appropriate ministerial staff. - Develop, manage, and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with church leadership. - Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Manage church loans, investments, and financial planning strategies. - Assist in coordinating external audits and financial reviews.
Giving & Contribution Management
- Administer and track all contributions and donations. - Ensure accurate recording and reporting of giving, including year-end statements for donors. - Work with stewardship teams to support giving campaigns and donor engagement.
Additional Areas of Oversight
Property & Asset Oversight
- Oversee and provide guidance as it pertains to church property, facilities, and assets, including maintenance schedules and vendor contracts. - Oversee insurance policies and risk management related to property and liability.
Administrative Leadership
- Supervise administrative staff and volunteers involved in financial and operational tasks. - Develop and implement policies and procedures for financial and business operations. - Provide regular financial updates and reports to church leadership and governing bodies.
