DESCRIPTION: The New Hope UMC Finance Director is charged with accounting and managing church funds, keeping appropriate and accurate financial records, and making financial reports to the church. The Finance Director ensures that the church's financial operations run smoothly. Both laypersons and clergypersons are encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides oversight of the church finances to manage cash flow, income, and expenses. Completes accounts payable and receivable reporting, payroll, purchasing, receipting, and disbursements utilizing financial management software.
