Ministry Description: The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of FPCA PC(USA) and will be responsible for the management of the administrative functions supporting the ministries of the Church, including office operations, human resources, facilities and the financial oversight.
Supervisor: Senior Pastor/Head of Staff
Support the Senior Pastor in all areas of the ministry of the church, including assistance for the Session; and relieve the Senior Pastor of tactical management and administrative duties
Oversee the administrative staff and volunteers, and ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, processes, policies, controls and oversight are in place to fulfill the church’s administrative needs. Serve as the staff liaison to the Administration Committees.
Oversee the financial resources of the church, including oversight of the Financial Secretary, and in collaboration with the Finance Committee, oversee the budget and stewardship processes.
Oversee the Custodian and work closely with the Property Committee chair on all matters related to facility management within the Campus
Coordinate the use of our Campus, maintaining the master Campus calendar, coordinating space rentals for outside groups, and acting as a liaison with the First Presbyterian Church Preschool.
Oversee all vendor contracts, insurance, IT coordination, and benefits support
Oversee member and visitor engagement support, which includes management of membership database, new member prospects and visitor records
Perform other duties as may be required or assigned by the Senior Pastor and FPCA
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree and Church Administrator Certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of church administrative or related experience
A positive, diplomatic and caring servant attitude to all
Strong interpersonal skills and experience leading and managing others
Sound analytical mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Apple Software
Hours: 40 hours/week, regular weekday business hours, with some availability for Session and Committee meetings, Sundays and special programs and events
Additional Salary Information: Target of $55,000/year and commensurate with experience plus benefits, PTO and support for continuing education and moving expenses, as needed.
