Management and upkeep of financial records ensuring transactions are appropriately classified and completed
Utilize and maintain current financial database software (ACS) for all church & preschool financial activity, contributions data, online donations, and reporting; reconcile all subsidiary records to financial data
Supervise Maintenance of ACS HeadMaster Preschool module software; monitor billing and accounts receivable; reconcile records to ACS Financial data
Monitor all accounts, transactions, investments, and fees; maintaining accurate documentation of all receipts, disbursements, and banking activity
Manage cash balances of funds prudently to maximize income
Maintain a record of all restricted gifts including donor instructions, if any, and assure that all restricted funds are disbursed as designated
Financial Planning, Analysis, & Reporting
Prepare and record month-end adjusting journal entries; perform analytic review of account activity and ending account balances, including sources and uses of designated funds
Provide monthly financial statements and budget analyses for Session & committees
Attend Finance, Preschool and Endowment committees, providing insight & analysis
Provide support to Stewardship Committee in annual campaign
Advise appropriate committees and Session in developing annual budget
Review financial activities of church, contracts, vendor agreements and advise appropriate committee with recommendations or changes
Complete special financial analyses and projections on an as-needed basis
Payroll & Benefits
Payroll preparation for all church and preschool employees on biweekly basis
Maintain accurate and updated records related to payroll, benefits, & taxes
Oversee maintenance & upkeep of church facility in collaboration with Buildings & Grounds Committee
Proactively monitor status of campus and coordinate work by contractors, vendors, and volunteers

Preferred Education – BSBA Accounting
Desired Experience – 5 years in Accounting or Church Business Administration
CCA (Certified Church Administrator) Certification or willingness to earn CCA certification once employed
Advanced Accounting, CPA, or Business degrees as well as non-profit experience a plus
Position: This is a full-time position, FLSA exempt.
Evaluation: An annual evaluation will be performed by the Pastor/Head of Staff in partnership with the Personnel Committee.
Additional Salary Information: Salary range is flexible dependent on education and experience
