The Church Administrator reports to the Senior Pastor and works closely with the Leadership Board to accomplish the Mission and Vision of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and School (HTLC/S).
The Church Administrator is responsible for supervising the non-pastoral Church Staff, managing the business operations of the Church within the budget established by the Voters Assembly, and ensuring compliance with the Policy Manual. The purpose of this role is to serve as a single point of contact for non-pastoral membership and congregational needs. The incumbent works closely with the Senior Pastor and President to meet the administrative, facility, and operational support needs of HTLC/S.
Essential Job Functions
Support the Senior Pastor to accomplish the HTLC/S Mission including ministry effectiveness evaluation, decision making, strategic planning, and overall direction of Church Staff.
Provide leadership and direction to the non-pastoral Staff to ensure the effective administration of the financial, facility management, personnel, technology, and other support functions.
Facilitate the annual strategic planning process including an evaluation of ministry performance, facilities, operations, and development of short and long term goals.
Establish and maintain a set of key performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the Ministry Plan and other functional areas of the Church.
Schedule and help administer the HTLC/S employment, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, and dispute resolution process.
Prepare, in conjunction with the Treasurer and the Leadership Board, the annual budget and other financial plans to meet financial objectives, operational needs, and compliance with IRS requirements.
Oversee the HTLC/S building programs including capital fund raising campaigns, master planning, design and architecture, contractor selection, and construction projects.
Assist in the development and implementation of HTLC/S safety and emergency preparedness policies.
Provide regular and special reports to the Leadership Board and the Voters Assembly.
Ensure that all Church policies comply with the legal requirements for an Oklahoma Non-Profit Corporation.
Develop, implement, and monitor policies concerning the access and use of HTLC/S facilities, offices, and equipment.
Identify and recommend facility, equipment, and technology upgrades, modifications, and construction to the Leadership Board.
Protect the security and access to HTLC/S data and technology infrastructure consistent with the Constitution, Bylaws, and Policy Manual.
Work with various HTLC/S committees, officers, and staff to develop, implement, and monitor Church policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience is required.
Prior work experience with payroll, accounting, and facility management for a church or non-profit is preferred.
Must understand and agree with HTLC/S Mission, Vision and Values.
Membership in Missouri Synod Lutheran Church is preferred.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for meetings or on-call emergencies.
Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with experience.
