Responsibilities Include:Finances- Serve as chief financial officer for McFarlin and its related entities, and attend the scheduled meetings of the Faith & Finance Committee and McFarlin Foundation- Manage the budget and prepare monthly financial statements for staff, Faith & Finance Committee and Administrative Council review- Coordinate preparation of annual church budget with the Budget Sub-Committee- Assist the Senior Pastor and Executive Minister in the development and organization of the annual stewardship focus and other special fundraising campaigns and/or requests- Supervise the Financial SecretaryProperty, Equipment & Risk Management- Supervise the Facilities Manager and custodial staff to insure that the building and grounds are kept in a state of good repair, condition and cleanliness- Serve as liaison to McFarlin Trustees and assist the Vision Team and associated working groups and task teams related to special building projects- Manage information technology including hardware/software upgrades, troubleshooting of equipment and systems and coordination with IT service provider- Coordinate use of facilities by outside groups with Office Manager- Supervise the Office Manager and Director of Food Services- Review annually the risk management needs of the church to insure that protection on all church properties, worker’s compensation and other coverage is kept current in adequate and sufficient amounts- Maintain Safe Sanctuaries manual and administrative policies and make revisions as needed for approval by Trustees and Administrative Council- Work with the Trustees to manage church vans, trucks and busesHuman Resources- Maintain personnel and volunteer files including all benefits and IRS elections, safe sanctuary screenings, evaluations and other appropriate records- Assist as needed in recruiting, interviewing, employing, training, supervising and terminating all lay personnel in coordination with the Senior Pastor- Administer personnel policies of the church including scheduling vacations, days off, holiday schedules, and enforcement of church policies and procedures - Maintain employee handbook and makes revisions as approved by Senior Leadership Team and Staff-Parish Relations Committee
- Bachelor degree required; background in accounting, finance, human resources or management preferred- Track record of organizational leadership; experience in church, parachurch or other nonprofits preferred
