The Assistant Business Administrator will report directly to the Business Administrator and will be primarily responsible for the oversight of the Church's finance and stewardship efforts. Additionally, the Assistant Business Administrator will be involved with the day-to-day operations of Human Resources, Communications and Stewardship duties while working closely with the different committees that serve these areas. Attend required meetings and make presentations to those different Boards and Committees.
Skills needed: An ability to work collegially with a diverse staff, lay leaders and volunteers. Working knowledge of and experience with office operations, finance, accounting and church computer systems (MDUMC currently utilizes Shelby Systems). Familiarity with the United Methodist Church, its traditions and beliefs or similar Protestant mainline denomination. Previous church finance/business administrator experience preferred. Must have strong organizational skills.
