Westminster Presbyterian Church, PC(USA) of Lincoln, NE is seeking a Business Administrator. This is a key position to the church. The ideal candidate for this position is faithful, team player, resourceful and a good problem solver and organizer.
The primary functions of this position are:
This position works closely with the Pastor and the various church staff and committees. They are responsible for all financial and business aspects of the church, including such areas as the weekly depositing and tracking of contributions, monthly financial reporting, audits, cash management, payroll and accounts payable and receivable. Additional responsibilities include human resources and is the staff support to our Foundation. Respond to various needs/request by the congregation, staff and community.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years’ accounting and general ledger experience preferred
Experience with not-for-profit (and church if possible) accounting preferred
Proficient in Accounting Church Software – preferred (ACS Software if possible)
High level of competence with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to multi-task at the same time and manage one’s time productively
Understanding of Endowments
Strong analytical and forward-thinking skills
Proficient in processing payroll, filing taxes on time and keeping all personnel files current and confidential
Maintain confidentiality of all financial contribution information, member issues and personnel issues
